Cathy Bowen is a professor and extension specialist in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology and Education in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Bowen’s work has focused on helping Pennsylvania residents address perennial consumer issues such as budgeting, using credit, recordkeeping, consumer rights and responsibilities, teaching kids about money, and assisting taxpayers with filing a basic tax return. She established and managed for 13 years Penn State VITA, a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site located on the University Park campus.

Kerry has been teaching exercise for over 20 years. She is a 750 HR Tier 2 Baptiste Yoga Educator and a graduate of the Fit to Lead year long leadership program with the Baptiste Institute.  She is an E-RYT 500HR accredited yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance and A YACEP provider. She is also a certified embodied life coach, holistic health practitioner, trainer, mentor and advisor to the community, local schools, celebrities, professional athletes and beyond. Kerry creates and delivers empowerment-training workshops, like her 40 day program of growth, 3 day renewal retreats, and has developed mindfulness staff in-service training days in local schools and businesses.  Kerry also co creates week long intensive immersion programs at world wide destinations centers such as Pura Vida in Costa Rica.  Kerry also developed an elementary program called Quiet Stretch Breaks, promoting mindful awareness exercises in the day to day classroom environment.  Most recently Kerry developed an intensive week long training camp for the Olympic British BMX cycling team incorporating her expertise and coaching to take these High Performers to their next level mentally and physically.
