Harvesting Winter Squash

Winter squash can be a great addition to your vegetable garden. From acorn and butternut to delicata and pumpkin, these can provide a versatile and flavorful additions to your dishes and add variety to your fall decor. Winter squash are generally harvested in the fall before Halloween, and there are some tell-tale signs for when they’re ready. Here are a few tips from Penn State Professor of Horticulture Systems Management Elsa Sánchez.
