Hot Cicada Summer

cicadas

17 years in the making, Brood X Cicadas are emerging in parts of the United States, including central Pennsylvania. Until they begin to wane in July and August, you’ll hear the male cicada’s signature chirping as they try to attract a mate.

Tom Ford, an educator with Penn State Extension, discusses these unique creatures.
