Bush to serve as secretary of homeland security. This nomination led to a federal investigation, which ultimately resulted in Kerik serving three years in prison on multiple felony convictions. Released in October 2013, Kerik now uses his unique perspective to advocate for justice and prison reform. He resides with his wife, Hala, and his two youngest daughters in New Jersey.
