Pa. rural hospitals brace for cuts to Medicaid, worry other rural health programs could be next
Rural hospital leaders and advocates in Pennsylvania are planning for the future after the passing of President Trump’s spending bill, which cuts more than a trillion dollars from Medicaid over the next decade. The Senate added a $50 billion rural health transformation fund to the bill to address concerns about rural hospitals, but some experts worry how the funding will be used.
