Eric J. Barron, Penn State’s 18th president, is a geologist at heart and a scientist who has studied the earth and its processes. In office since May 2014, he’s a rock solid leader for our ever-evolving great public research University. Andrew Destin is a senior from Saratoga, California, double majoring in journalism and political science at Penn State. Destin is a sports director for CommRadio, which is Penn State’s student-run radio station, and is a sports reporter for the Daily Collegian. He also works for the Big Ten Network as a play-by-play broadcaster for various sports on campus. Destin has previously interned for WPSU as a radio news reporter. He has also interned as a sportswriter for the Santa Cruz Sentinel and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
