Sensor Technology Engineer

Jim Barshinger is a transducer engineer who designs ultrasound sensor technology at Sensor Networks, Inc. in State College, Pa. Ultrasound sensors perform non-destructive testing to determine the safety of gas and oil pipelines, aircraft engines, and nuclear power plants. Central Pennsylvania has become a hub for the growing sensor technology industry with over a dozen local companies producing transducers.
