Arts: Yo-Yo’s Musical Journey Lesson Plan
In this lesson, students learn that music can express different emotions and moods as they are introduced to Yo-Yo Ma, the famous Chinese American cellist. After watching videos from the PBS KIDS series PINKALICIOUS & PETERRIFIC®, students listen to Yo-Yo’s music and describe, using images and words, the emotions they feel. Then students explore how to communicate their emotions by playing common instruments.
