WHYY board approves path forward for WPSU

Update from Penn State (11/12): Penn State’s discussions with WHYY continue to move forward. While the exclusivity window between the two organizations has expired, Penn State continues to work diligently on an agreement with WHYY and is committed to completing the agreement as quickly as possible.

On Oct. 23, the WHYY Board of Directors unanimously approved the acquisition of WPSU. This follows an Oct. 13 vote by the Penn State Board of Trustees approving the plan, which opened a 30-day exclusivity window. If final terms are reached by the parties, the transaction is also subject to approval by the FCC.
