Should businesses have the right to deny services based on the customer’s sexual orientation/gender identity?
  • Yes
  • No

Additional comments: But if — and only if — the service or product is customized for that particular client and in some way relates to the sexual orientation or identity, then I believe the business owner should have a right to decide. For example, a baker MUST sell already made pastries or goods to anyone who asks for them; however, if a person wants a cake to be made that would be individualized for them — such as a wedding cake for a gay wedding, then the baker may be able to decide to deny service. In that scenario, there was a clear “good guy” and “bad guy”, but what if it’s a “bad guy” who wants service? Should all business owners, artists or craftsmen be forced to perform specific and customizable work for anyone who requests it? So, for example, I don’t believe a Jewish baker should be forced to make a cake with a swastika on it for a Nazi who orders it; but I do believe the Jewish baker should be forced to sell a pre-made cake to a Nazi, if he wants it. So broadly speaking, I think if the service or product is something that must be made and is specific, unique, individualized and customized, a business owner, artist or craftsman must always have the right to decide what they want — and do not want — to create, regardless of who the potential customer may be.

How should drug addiction – such as heroin addiction – be treated?
  • Drug addiction should be treated as a criminal issue
  • Drug addiction should be treated as a medical issue

Additional comments: Addiction is not a crime. I would like to implement a drug policy similar to Portugal’s. That is, I think ALL drugs should be decriminalized, such that if a person is caught using drugs, they will be taken to a treatment facility, where they can get well and become active members of society, instead of being taken to jail and having a criminal record.

Should regulations be created to limit how prescription painkillers are prescribed?
  • Yes
  • No

Additional comments:

What is your view on Climate Change?
  • There is no global warming/climate change.
  • Climate change is happening but humans aren’t the cause. It is a natural cycle we have no control over.
  • Human activity is only one of many aspects causing global warming. Any changes society makes would have little effect.
  • Human activity is the cause of global warming.

Additional comments: Having said that, the government should NOT try to limit or ban the fossil fuel industry. Instead, they should create legislation that would create tax cuts for “green energy” companies so that the free market can decide.

Are you in favor of following the recommendations of the Paris Accord on climate change?
  • Yes
  • No

Additional comments: I think the free market should decide. I’m in favor of tax cuts for green energy.

Do you support net neutrality rules in which broadband Internet access service is subject to Title II of the Communications Act establishing ISP’s as common carriers?
  • Yes
  • No

Additional comments: From what I’ve gathered, Net Neutrality appears to essentially be a subsidy for Netflix and other large companies. I think ending net neutrality might actually make the internet faster and cheaper.

Do we need any new laws regulating the ownership of guns in this country?
  • Yes
  • No

Additional comments: The best way to end gun violence is to address it where it begins: with mental illness. If we appropriate funding toward mental illness and work on an individual level to help those who are isolated, lonely, depressed or suffering from other types of mental illness, we will not only solve gun violence, we will end up solving a plethora of societal issues, such as homelessness, drug addiction, etc.

Should we be more or less involved in helping to manage international affairs?
  • More
  • Less
  • Things are fine the way the are

Additional comments: We are NOT the policemen of the world. We need to end ALL foreign aid and end ALL wars, close down ALL overseas military bases, and bring the troops home.

How would you handle an international situation such as the one between North Korea and the United States?
  • Use diplomacy
  • Take military action
  • Do nothing

Additional comments: I want to start trading with ALL countries. I want to end the Cuban embargo. If North Korea is brought back into the economic system and allowed to trade with the world, it will become accountable to the rest of the world.

Regarding the US healthcare system, what scenario do you favor?
  • Repeal Obamacare/ACA and do not replace it
  • Repeal Obamacare/ACA and replace it
  • Keep Obamacare/ACA and make it better
  • Transition to Single Payer/Medicare for All

Additional comments: I think we need to transition away from it. Healthcare should not be as expensive as it currently is. One example of this is the 60 Minutes story about the Himalayan doctors who cure cataracts and their surgeries are as good as they are in the U.S., but only cost $20 instead of $2,000 per eye, like it costs in America.

Do you support protecting minors brought to the country illegally from deportation?
  • Yes
  • No

Additional comments:

What are your views regarding LGBTQ people serving in the military?
  • In favor of banning all LGBTQ people from serving in the military
  • In favor of banning ONLY transgender people from serving in the military
  • All LGBTQ people should be allowed to serve in the military

Additional comments:

Generally, what kind of national tax plan do you favor?
  • An across the board tax cut
  • An across the board tax increase
  • Cut taxes only on lower and middle incomes
  • Increase taxes only on top incomes
  • Increase taxes on lower and middle incomes, and cut taxes on top incomes
  • Cut taxes on lower and middle incomes, and increase taxes on top incomes

Additional comments: I support the Fair Tax, which would COMPLETELY eliminate the Federal Income Tax (and the IRS as we know it) and replace it with a federal consumption tax you would pay at the register. That is, paying taxes would become voluntary. This would also prevent wealthy businessmen from being able to use tax loopholes in order to pay no taxes. Under the current tax system, if someone like Donald Trump buys a jet, he gets to write that off and would not have to pay federal taxes. Under the Fair Tax, someone like Donald Trump would have to pay approximately $7 million in taxes for a $30 million jet.

From the selection below, which do you think is the most important action to take to create jobs in America?
  • Reduce regulations that may impede job growth
  • Create tax incentives for businesses that encourage the hiring of more people
  • The federal government should fund a skills training program
  • The federal government should start a guaranteed jobs program

Additional comments: I believe it is a combination of creating tax incentives for businesses that encourage them to hire more people and also reducing regulations that may impede job growth.

Should the minimum wage be raised?
  • Yes
  • No
